How does a curator work? Think? Decide? What is the work process and behind the scenes insights? In this workshop we will look at the factors and challenges that lie behind the set up of an exhibition, whether it is a personal, collective or a whole festival. The elements that make it real are, beyond the artist and the work, the chosen location, the available budget and the relationship with institutions or sponsors. And the audience. How do all these elements come together to create a coherent and understandable vision?
Arianna Rinaldo
Independent curator, artistic director of Cortona on The Move and curator of PhEST
