In the one-day workshop “Everything Banana” we will conjure something special out of something quite banal and everyday. It’s about how to put a fruit (or another food) in the limelight so that an exciting photo emerges. After getting to know each other and introducing ourselves, we will show you a few tips from our everyday life as photographers. Then it’s your turn: first a fruit, then an idea, and finally the precise photographic implementation. We support you in thinking creatively and developing an idea, as well as in its practical implementation and putting the subject in the right light. In the end, hopefully nothing is “all banana” any more.
Adrian Cortis and Jojakim Sonderegger
artist duo
Jojakim Cortis (b. 1978, GER) and Adrian Sonderegger (b. 1980, CH) began their collaboration in 2006 at the Zurich University of the Arts in Switzerland. Their photographs have been shown in numerous exhibitions around the world, including at the MET in New York (US), Museum Folkwang in Essen (D), Fotostiftung Schweiz (CH), Lianzhou Foto Festival (CHN), and C/O Berlin (D). Their book “Double Take” was published in 2018 by Thames & Hudson, Lars Müller Publisher (CH) and by Seigensha (JP).
